Jacqueline Fernandez, a Sri Lankan actor who hails from Bahrain's Manama was brought up in an ethnically diverse family. Her parents are Malaysian and from Sri Lanka. Their father Elroy Fernandez comes from Sri Lanka. Jacqueline is the youngest of two siblings and has one older brother. Her family was born and raised in Bahrain. Her parents moved there in the 1980s due to the civil war that occurred in Sri Lanka. Schooling was finished at Bahrain and she was awarded the Scholarship to attend at the University of Sydney. There she earned a Media and Communications degree. She also attended an institute called the Berlitz school of languages which helped her improve on French, Arabic and Spanish. Miss Sri Lanka 2006 competed in Miss Universe 2006 as well as Miss Universe 2006 when she won the title in 2006. After her 2006 Miss Sri Lanka win, Padukone stepped into the world of television as host of a TV show on Sri Lankan business called Lanka Business Report. Padukone is the daughter of the famous badminton player Prakash Padukone. She was raised in Bangalore and was born in Copenhagen. When she was a teenager she competed at national-level badminton events, but she backed off the sport and became a fashion designer. Padukone is from Mangalorean origin Her mother language is Konkani. Her lineage hails from Padukone village in Kundapura Taluk in the Udupi District of the state of Karnataka, India. Prakash Padukone's father is an international champion in badminton who has now retired. Her mother is a travel agent.
